Oh my.... even more speakers :)

I just got home with quite a few more speakers I got an good deal for 2 pairs of 8256cabinets with 3156 woofers, ,2 pairs of MR594 (with adapter for 1" drivers), 2 pairs of 908-8B and 2 pairs of 902-16HF

I really don't know what I'm going to do with all speakers, I mainly bought them because of the 902-16HF. And I haven't tested them yet just measured the drivers, 6 of them measure fine and two are broken. The8256 are REAL ugly, painted black with metalprotection, but most woofers seems OK and hopefully they are OK as well!

I'm looking forward to compare the "A6" to my A700, I guess they will sound kind of different, espcially the LF! And I'm looking even more forward to try the 902-16HF!

Oh my indeed. Are you going to post some pics?

    What are 8256 cabinets?
Nothing like a great big pair of speakers to make your day.

Of course I can post pictures, but the condition of the cabinets are not good, not a pleasent sight But anyway, I'll take some pictures later...

The 8256 cabinet are the LF of the A6, this is how they are supposed to look (except of the grille)

What's wrong with them? Just paint, or is there structural damage? What are they made of? MDF? Plywood? OSB?

Sometimes they are the bottom of the A6A unit.
    See thread:
    http://www.hostboard.com/forums/alte...-8256-a6a.html
    Some ideas and links there.

Afaik mine are plywood through and through, though with Pink fiberglass.
I have been thinking of making the 3156's available if someone is terribly interested lmk or (ideally) post a WTB to the 'ITEMS FOR SALE...' sticky thread of course.

    Here's a few pictures!

The first one shows the DIY cabinets for A8 in the front, on the picture they are without the 32b horns and as you see the dustcap is pushed in. On top of them are 2 of the 902-16HF and also a N1285-8 XO. At the back are the 4 8256 cabinets with all 8 3156 laying at the top, next to them are the A700LFX with MRII594 on top.

The seconf picture is more of a closeup of one cabinet with the woofers in and the MRII594 at the top.
